Over the last couple of months, the Milwaukee Hip Hop scene has risen to new heights. The world seems to be gravitating more and more towards Milwaukee Street music;  artists like myaap, Chicken P, and J.P. have taken the Rap world by storm, and people around the country are starting to see how awesome the music coming out of Milwaukee is. In addition to those three, there is another Milwaukee Rapper who has been making major waves over the last year or so. 414bigfrank has seen a ton of success recently, and he is helping put eyes on Milwaukee Hip Hop as much as any of his peers. 414bigfrank started putting out music on streaming services in 2020, and he has been very prolific in his output since his first release. From 2020 to 2023, 414bigfrank put out about 40(or so) singles. He also dropped two albums in 2023, titled Up And Coming and For Da City. 414bigfrank has begun 2024 with a plethora of releases as well, having put out 6 more singles since the year started. It is not hard to see why 414bigfrank has become such a viral hitmaker over the last year or so. He has a sound and style that is similar to the other Milwaukee Street music that is popping off right now but has a way of going about it that really makes him stand out. 414bigfrank’s presence and demeanor make his music super fun to listen to; he is an artist with a ton of star power. 414bigfrank had seen a great amount of success before 2024, but ‘Eat Her Up’ is taking his career to the next level. This super catchy and brief track, which came out back on January 2, is doing numbers on social media currently. Due to its success on apps like Instagram and TikTok, ‘Eat Her Up’ has gotten onto the Billboard Hot 100 and is considered one of the top songs online right now. ‘Eat Her Up’ is a pretty simple track that works extremely well. The melody for this track is driven by a straightforward, dark keyboard riff complemented by some distorted synths and sound effects that are very light and entertaining. This melody is put on top of a raucous and intense beat that is extremely bass-heavy and rapid. I love the way the drums rattle on this track. The sound effects and overall mix of the beat make the song addicting and will make anyone want to dance when they hear it. As cool as this instrumental is, the best thing about ‘Eat Her Up’ is the vocal performance from 414bigfrank. The gruff tone he sings with gives the song so much power and life. Even though his vocals are sort of grating, they are still very pleasant and make this song such an earworm. ‘Eat Her Up’ has an infectious energy and just puts me in a good mood when I hear it(I know I am not the only one who feels this way). 414bigfrank’s newest single, ‘Baby Got It,’ came out back on March 11. This track has not seen the same success as the preceding one yet, but I bet it will not be long until this one pops off as well. In my opinion, this one may be even more infectious than ‘Eat Her Up.’ I absolutely love the melody of this track. It is funky, fresh, and futuristic sounding. This synth-driven melody has the energy of a Funky Dance music track that came out of another dimension or world. The melody is super robotic and melodic, making this track so ultramodern and interesting. The beat for ‘Baby Got It’ may be even more captivating than the one on ‘Eat Her Up.’ This beat is so enjoyable it is taking everything in my power to not get up and start jumping around my apartment as I listen to it while writing this. The bass on this track totally pounds; the snares and hi-hats are very quick and have an anxious energy to them that make this track so twitchy. Like ‘Eat Her Up,’ 414bigfrank’s vocals on ‘Baby Got It’ are exhilarating. His raspy tone sits on this instrumental so nicely, and it heavily contributes to the memorable energy of the track. ‘Baby Got It’ is yet another track from 414bigfrank that proves he is an artist that everyone should be paying attention to. 414bigfrank is a Milwaukee artist who makes music that is exciting and amusing, and I can not wait to see him continue to grow as 2024 moves along.
